Which £8k motorway car?
I am looking at changing my car for one which will be used on the motorway extensively.
My budget is £8000. I have already test driven the manual 2.0 Insignia SRi diesel (160bhp and 17" alloys) and think it is very relaxing and comfortable.
For this money, do you think an equivalent Mondeo would be better or perhaps a lower spec petrol Skoda Superb? Looking for something that does not feel strained on the motorway and is very quiet.

The Exeo is a good also-ran because used prices are low so you get more for your money.

Testing economy versions of the 2.0 Insignia and Mondeo, the Insignia got 55.7mpg and the Mondeo got 51.5, but the Mondeo provided the nicer drive.
