Do you recommend the 2002 Lexus IS?

I am considering buying a used Lexus IS 200. The car will be from around 2002, have under 100,000 miles on it and preferably have a full service history. Is this a good purchase or are there any possibile drawbacks? I am looking to spend around £2500. I want the Lexus as it ticks all the boxes of a luxury car and an impeccable reliability record.

They have a very good reputation, but, of course, a 2002 is 10 years old so quite an old car, and they do have a belt cam engine.
