  • Scooter - RHD scooter combos in Italy 24 Oct 2023 (Forum)
I happened to see a 1950's picture of a Lambretta combo in Italy with the bike on the right. I thought it was strange and then I found one of a Vespa combo, also in Italy with the bike on the right. Anyone have any idea why?
  • He/him/she/her 6 Jul 2022 (Forum)
With all the fiasco with pronouns lately, why don't we just introduce a gender neutral pronoun? Some languages always used such pronouns, i.e. not differentiating between he and she. I read that the word " ze " is sometimes used to denote s/he.

Wow - HJ now doing time-travelling (see the name of this article) - who'd thunk?! ;-) PS. You might want to change the links, both for this page (to 13/10/18 or whatever, to match page 1) AND the link to page 1 at the top, which gives page 2's name, though the hyperlink itself

  • any - cherished or what? 5 Sep 2012 (Forum)
I seem to be surrounded  these days by cherished or (depending on your point of view) prat plates. We surely can not now be far from the tipping point when the most  cool, with-it, right on, must- have plates to own are the ones provided free by the DVLC. Cheers Colin S
  • most makes - A Really Good Bicycle 11 Jul 2011 (Forum)
Sure, contrary to pc b/s, bikes aren't the answer to all travel woes. But do remember that you can get a really excellent bike, road, Mtb, folder or hybrid for about the price of 10+ fillups at the petrol station.

Cleaning my car this morning, it occurred to me that manufacturers must spend a fortune designing fabrics especially suited to trap particles of dirt and be Hoover resistant. Why does the boot floor for instance always have a "looped" fabric rather than a short "pile" P*****s me off!
