  • mercedes slk230 (2003 manual 6 speed) - gearchange on 03reg mercedes slk230 17 Jul 2012 (Forum)
This car (only 37,000) miles has had a "notchy" gearchange for years. Having recently driven a Ford with a lovely gearchange I am wondering first is the Merc faulty or is this a common feature? Secondly it seems like a good idea to change the gearoil in which case has anyone had good results
  • Kia - Should you buy an Optima? Another accomplished Kor 11 Jan 2012 (Forum)
styling and abundant value for money on the Kia’s side, in fact, it’s not difficult to imagine the open-minded giving up a VW Passat, Vauxhall Insignia or Ford Mondeo for one. Not difficult at all.
  • 'Manly' cars 4 Sep 2011 (Forum)
I have just read the HJ article about the most 'manly' cars.  I suspect, since the poll was conducted by a shaving foam company, that mostly men answered it.  The Ford Mustang was voted most manly.  The list of least manly cars had the lovely MX-5 on it, and it would seem that men

to me that the gap between Ford/Citroen and BMW/Merc is much less than what it was. This brings me to the question - is it worth paying the extra? What to you get for the extra money now? A badge? or is there still a significant difference?

  • What unusual car did i see? 28 Aug 2009 (Forum)
Was passed by a most unusual small car today, it had a very curved bonnet and boot lid both of which were corrugated, not sure how many corrugations on the bonnet but the bootlid had 3 i think. The rear window was reverse sloping like a Ford Anglia, the car appeared smallish, it seemed
