  • Audi A8 (1994 - 2003) - 1997 - Automatic Gearbox specialist -- Midlands?? 29 Dec 2007 (Forum)
Can anyone recommend any of the above please? I would like to get a so called 'sealed for life' box serviced with oil and filter change. As I'm sure many know, Audi main dealers will not touch these unless something has gone wrong (which it hasn't..) and so I'd rather use a specialist. THanks

Hello there guys and girls, I am the proud owner of a clio 1.4 which has this kinda strange behaviour. It has a delay on throttle ( about half a second ) both on press and on release... This happens regardless of the temperature of the engine. I also have to add that this car has never changed

  • Vauxhall Brava Gearbox Screech 7 Jun 2007 (Forum)
My N reg Brava (Isusu Rodeo) has developed a loud screech when under load. It happens in all gears and the noise seems to be coming from the gearbox. I've tried changing the oil, but this has had little effect. I've had a couple of experts look at it and they are mystified. It seems worse in third
  • Vectra 2002 Temperature 23 Jan 2007 (Forum)
Having problems with SWMBO's 2002 Vectra 1.8. The heater has stopped working (not good as weather has changed!), and the temperature gauge has gone crazy. It goes up to the edge of the red sector then down again and then back up again. Obviously something is not right! Have topped up header

  • Hard starting scooter if left for 3 days 21 Apr 2006 (Forum)
I have a 125 honda scooter (automatic). It has been serviced since new (plugs and oil always changed frequently). It seems to start first time in all weathers if it is used daily, which I use to work. There are no obvious signs of engine wear or anything like that. However, if I leave
  • civic type-R gearbox 12 Jan 2006 (Forum)
I'd like to know if anybody with a Honda Civic Type-R, has trouble selecting 1st and 2nd in the cold weather, especially in the mornings? I had the engine oil changed a thousand miles ago to Castrol SLX 0W-30 but doubt if this would have anything to do with gear selection!! Also, big up

Hi there people. I own a 1.4 cl vw golf j reg. and it has done 106000 miles. I bought when it had 88000 on the clock. • Cheap diesel car for less than £1000 23 Jan 2004 (Forum)
I was considering buying a cheap diesel. I would prefer something easy to work on as I\'ll be changing the oil amongst other stuff myself. My mk3 1.3 fiesta is a delight to work on \'cos there\'s stacks of space under the bonnet. Just really wanted some opinions from a few DIYers
  • Fiesta 1.1 emulsifying up 5 Apr 2003 (Forum)
would not consider this a car-killing journey. Is it worthwhile to consider changing the thermostat to one that opens at a hotter temp ? Running on a different oil ? All help appreciated.

  • Vauxhall Astra G Petrol - Advice Appreciated - Vauxhall Astra I.6 Envoy - 52 11 Dec 2011 (Forum)
should get checked/changed?  I have heard that there can be issues with the engines running cool on the 8v. There were signs of an oil leak when we inspected the car and the dealer said it needed a new head gasket and offered to replace it .  I'm keeping my fingers
  • Current highest mileage with NO engine repair 3 Jul 2009 (Forum)
. Our old 'school-run' VW Passat Est 2.0 GL did 242,000 with no attention to the engine apart from regular oil and filter changes every 10,000 and a few sets of spark plugs. Only the cambelt tensioner pulley was replaced [by me] - but not even the cambelt. Oh, and the HT leads once. No coolant change
