replacing is DMF (the engine is rattling and the workshop team leader said "thats the DMF, needs to be off the road a full day") Can anybody give me some tips on how to approach this problem, the bus has only done 48000 miles i dread to think whats coming next??? -

The dual mass flywheel on my Shogun has failed. Would anyone recommend replacing it with a solid flywheel conversion ? Apparently the kits are supplied with an Exedy clutch plate equipped with larger springs to replacing the dampening effect of the DMF. -

The cluch on my 530 D Has a high take up point at 140K but works fine. Its been recommended that I consider changing the clutch soon and was quoted £130 plus exhaust parts that may get damaged on removal. Surely this does not cover a DMF which I presume will need changing too -
