Hi ,I have a Rover P6 3500 which runs a treat . In heavy traffic however its different story. Cutting out ,misfiring comes to mind. Leave it to cool down and im away again. Ive been told its vapour lock . New to me this is. How do i over come this please? -

The Clio 1.6 8v K7M engine does not have hydraulic tappets though valve clearances are not scheduled for checking by Renault or Haynes, Haynes say check if noisy or if running symptoms suggest to do so. Car is fine though should the clearances be checked after eight years and 43,000 miles? Thanks. -

mk4 golf 1600 53 plate, when i blip the key fob and open the door i hear a electric motor run for a few seconds ....sounds like its coming from low down in the engine bay infront of the pedals any ideas what it is....i assume its perfectly normal , just like to know what things are -

Gone to change to cambelt on my 406 petrol turbo and the timing marks dont line up. Locking pin in the top pulley and the crank pulley is around 25 degrees out. The engine runs fine and always has done, what on earth could this be? Also having problems getting the aux bottom pulley off, any tips? -

I have a 1997 vauxhall vectra 2.0 Di GLS and until recently the light would illuminate on start up as is normal.However it now only does it now and again.I have already changed the glow plugs but still the problem persists.Could this be a faulty relay or fuse as the car still runs normally -

On a 'N'95 plate. Does not like cold days and will not start without alot of cranking. In warm weather, or when engine is hot it will start fine. Battery is good and new glow plugs made no difference whatsoever. Once it has started it runs well after a puff of smoke has cleared. Any ideas chaps? -

Hello Lads/Lassies Just bought a Pug 406 1.9TD. A couple of times the Engine dianogstic light has flashed on for a few seconds then goes out. The car seems to run fine and it only seems to happen when coasting down hill I did clean the engine so maybe its water but that was a while ago Any ideas? -

Hi, I have got a 4 year old Mercedes Vito van 108cdi with a 2.1 diesel engine. I find it stalls easily if I let the clutch in too quickly and it is only getting 27 miles per gallon. Otherwise it seems to run OK. Is this normal or is there something wrong with it? Any advice would be appreciated -
