307 Diesel Economy Mode - geoff1248
Turn off the engine and listen to the radio while waiting for a late running (again)train to arrive. After 10 minutes radio cuts out and a little light goes on saying "Economy Mode". Drives me mad. Is the battery power so marginal that the radio (standard fit) will drain it after 10 mins. Can this setting be over ridden?

I belive its timed setting and can be changed by the dealer by hooking it up to their computer (diag2000?).

I know, I waited for a train for over an hour on Friday! ;-)

Have you tried it with the ignition on? More current drawn but shouldn't cause a problem for the length of time you're stopped for. I briefly put the heated rear windscreen on while parked up when the need arises.

The Economy Mode time can be changed, Its part of the BSI configuration set up.

To get the car out of economy mode just start the engine to reset the timer.

Take the car to a Peugeot main dealer, Take both sets of keys & the blue security code card & while they download the latest BSI & ECU software ask them nicely to change the setting to the correct 30 minutes it should have been set at when it had its PDI.
