  im due an engine oil change very soon, is comma lite semi synth any good or can any one recommend a suitable alternative , the service manual suggests sae 5w-30 or 10w-30 but the oil guide in halfords recommends 10w-40 ? any pointers would be appreciated thanks ....mj

  SWMBO,has a 97 Micra 1.3SR,and I have just done the engine oil and filter on it last week,however,as it's got 68k on the clock,and probably hasn't had a gearbox oil replacement,I thought it may be time to change it. Does anyone have a picture of the point of draining,and the re-filling point

  Anyone know for sure? Some say its semi some not. The reason I ask is that I have oil changes at Rapid Fit between services and they use Castrol Semi Magnatec 5/30. Then at the dealer they use Ford (assume so) branded oil. Prolly same stuff but unsure. Cheers all. James

  Probably been posted before but the chain store "The Range" sell 5 litres of Unipart branded fully synth oil for £17.99. They have various grades of 5W/30 in both Ford and VAG 505/507 spec as well as generic 10W/40. Changed mine on Sunday - bargain!
