Toyota Landcruiser 80 Amazon (1990 to 1998) - 1993 4.2TD Fungus in diesel tank 15 Dec 2008 (Forum)
As this car doesn't get used much, how do I keep the fuel tank/lines etc dry and stop fungus (or whatever it's called) from growing? It's kept in a cold garage with lot's of condensation. I give it some Millers every so often (for what it's worth), but not sure if this will help to keep it dry etc. -

Engine fouls own nest - `food` goes into wrong end 29 Oct 2008 (Forum)
During re-generation,with particulate filter equipped diesels, do injectors really blast fuel into the cylinders on the exhaust stroke, wetting bores and contaminating oil? Or is there a separate injector just upstream of the DPF? Is there a better engineering solution to cleaning a particulate -

Franchise servicing 18 Sep 2008 (Forum)
dealership could not hold a monopoly on servicing, making it fairer all round. It appears they have retracted this decision. Not only will this decision close many independent garages and fuel the dole queue but also mean the sale of sub standard pirate parts. -

Looking at spending around 4k on a car. It will only be used at weekends and will probably only do about 3,000 miles per year. Reliability is important and i dont want to be speing a fortune on tax (they have enough of my money as it is!) so maybe a pre 03/01 model. Not to bothered about fuel -

There may be a simple answer to this, but why are E-Class Merc's still so common as Taxis in so many countries? I don't think I've ever seen a BMW 5 series Taxi, but they have more room in the back, similar sized boots and better fuel economy, am I missing something? -
