Hi, i need some advice.
Recently my peugeot 306 HDi has had an odd issue on cold starts. It starts fine, but it runs very rough for a couple of seconds before settling on a normal idle. I'm not sure what could causing this, glow plugs, air in fuel system, battery?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Does it smoke while misfiring?

Smokes abit on initial start, but while its running like a bag of cr*p, there isnt any noticeable smoke. But will take a better look tomorrow.
Once its warm it runs fantastic, its really loving the cold air once its going, it just those initial few seconds i want to sort.

On further inspection, it does smoke.

Glowplug failed.
Maybe 2.
