BMW X5 - Warranty direct wear and tear 15 Aug 2011 (Forum)
the intercooler. Is this wear and tear? Surely some oil is expected in a 7 year old car and also could this cause a crack in an intercooler. I feel seriously ripped off!! I have written a letter of complaint but am sure this wont help -

My 1600cc C Max makes what only can be described as a "chattering " noise from the alternator area when the heated windscreens are switched on. The local ford dealer says it is the drive belt that needs changing at a cost of £90 and the belt is not subject to warranty. The car has done less -
VW Passat B7 - New Passat 2.0 Tdi SE 'Bluemotion' 12 Mar 2011 (Forum)
Well 1200 miles ito a new B7 VW Passat 2.0Tdi SE I am astounded to find that I am acheiving an actual 61.4 mpg (based on fill up). For a fairly fast and quiet family car I am truly astounded. My old Volvo V50 2.0D with 42,000 miles struggled to reach 44 mpg with the same driving style -

Honda Jazz- 1.2 or 1.4? 18 Sep 2010 (Forum)
This is on my shortlist for next spring when I change cars and am interested in a two year old Honda Jazz( new shape). Is there any advantage in buying a 1.4 over a 1.2 as there seems to be little benefit performance wise with the 1.4 and economy is similar? The only thing I could consider -

My dad thinks that one of the bearings has gone on my car, as it makes a loud roaring noise 70% of the time when the steering wheel is turned to the right. Does anyone know how much this cost to fix? (I'm a 23 yr old female so don't want to be messed around when I go to the garage -

Any - webuyanycar.com 1 May 2010 (Forum)
I am just about to collect a new car and thought I would try to sell my old '53' plate 48,000 mile Peugeot 307se auto through webuyanycar. They've offered £2,200 with some very minor supermarket body damage. I think that this is a fair price, and am aware of the charges -
Key fob batteries 28 Mar 2010 (Forum)
I paid more than a fiver for two 3 volt batteries for the remote entry fob for my car. They had the right code number on them but were a different make from the old ones, and were matt finish rather than shiny. They don't work. Today my SiL gave me a 3v battery of the same size with a different -

Have a citroen berlingo VT HDI 7weeks old and the exhaust has started rattling, it is going back to the garage for a repair --but the annoying thing about this car is a whine upon accelerating , it sounds like when a siren far off first comes to your notice. Anybody else noticed this or has any -

my old faithful renault espace 2.1 diesel, is misfiring when I start it from cold. Blue smoke from exhaust but not oil smoke. No problem through the summer months but as soon as the temperature drops or it's damp the problem starts. Takes a while before it stops misfiring, usually after a couple -
Focus Estate equivalent 29 Sep 2009 (Forum)
I'm looking for a 3 year old car roughly the size of a Focus Estate. I'll use it to transport my disabled wife, so the passenger seat needs to be at standard height and the boot length needs to be around 1m long to fit an electric wheelchair in. A low lip would be good too as the wheelchair -
When Does Fully Comp Cease to be Better? 15 Sep 2009 (Forum)
I'm approaching the dread day when I have to re-insure the car we have for our au pair. It's a Yaris 1.0 now 5 years old. Let's assume it's worth £3k, the quotes I got from a comparison site were about £1500 (with a £250 excess) due to young foreign driver. I'm tempted to go for 3rd party F&T which
