I am just about to collect a new car and thought I would try to sell my old '53' plate 48,000 mile Peugeot 307se auto through webuyanycar.

They've offered £2,200 with some very minor supermarket body damage.

I think that this is a fair price, and am aware of the charges they deduct; my question is, does anyone here have any direct experience of webuyanycar?

Any problems reported anywhere? Any scams I should be aware of?

All answers gratefully received.

Not used them,

When I bought my last car I got a price for my old one to see if it would be better than trading in, however I thought what they offered was an insult.

Just put a 58-plate Forester XT (cloth) manual through it. 13k miles. Unmarked.

£11,740

Last year they offered around £8,000.

Using the trade-in price from Glass's Guide on Vauxhall's website ( http://www.networkq.co.uk/buying/value-your-car/ ) it suggests £12,600 - £14.100 (avg-excellent condition).

Not an embarassingly low offer considering the cash comes in fast I guess.

Used them to sell deceased f-i-l's 307. Price was OK and in the circumstances it suited us. Avoided the hassle of selling. Payment was quick etc. They did knock some off when we took the car in but the car had had more "incidents" than were obvious to me..
