  http://www.traffic-england.co.uk/TCC/ This new website has just appeared, predicts traffic problems and has real time monitoring, aswell as length of time roadworks due to run etc.. Seems very good.

  Got a quote today for a 48,000 mile service on a Suzuki Jimney,supposed to be a cheap car to run etc etc,when the quote arrived I nearly asked if he was refering to the wrong model! £270.00!!!! Any comment

  i have a M reg cavalier 2.0i which seems to have an idle problem. when started it runs @800rpm but after 2 mins jumps to about 1200-2000rpm, and feels like driving with the choke out. any ideas?

  Anyone see the diesel running on Vegetable oil on last nights TV show? It was great! The only modification required was to route the fuel line near some heat (provided by the cooling hoses) to thin the veggie oil a bit. Absolute genius.

  Have just been offered 25 litres of Morris 10 40 semi synthetic diesil oil for £43 from a stockist.Have been using Duckhams QXR, is this just as good ? I run a 306 turbo diesel.

  When the MOT runs out on my F reg Montego I intend to scrap it as it the car is not worth the cost of the necessary repairs. How do I go about this? Do I have to pay someone to take it or will they pay me for it.

  Aircon acts as a splendid demister but, in the winter, one wants a warm interior. My Punto has a basic system (i.e. not "climate control") and seems to have no thermostat, so is there any objection to running the aircon while the heater is also on?

  Is it best to keep a battery on smart charge when the car is not in use to prolong the life, or is it better to just use the vehicle  and cycle the normal charge/run down process? In other words, do lead-acid batteries benefit from being worked?

  Just wondering whether these huge increases in electricity will have an effect on whether people will buy EVs. and for those already running one-is it still the cheapest option.? For me the key reason to buy is because petrol cars won’t be manufactured much longer.

  Sob.....aircon not working   No "clunk" when AC button pressed, no load on engine, fuse and relay changed. light comes on the AC switch   can low gas pressure stop compressor from running?   cheers

  i have a 1985 nissan 300c starts fine ,sometimes it will die after a min or so and then becomes difficult to start just have to keep revving engine for a while and it then runs ok any ideas pls

  I suspect that bacteria in the aircon system may be causing throat & chest infections. If I run the system on max heat with the aircon on through the face level vents for 15 minutes should this clear any bacteria.

  Hi i am runnign a Citroen C5 HDI on a 03 plate, i am wondering if it is safe to run on bio-diesel as there is a garage near me selling it for a lot less than conventional diesel.   Regards
