Love it.

Having had a Passat some years ago and really enjoyed it, I was disappointed with the revised shape in 2008 and opted for a Ford Mondeo. In hindsight this was a big mistake. The Mondeo was slow, and the sports suspension was spine juddering.

With my lease due for renewal I looked long and hard at value for money via performance and reliability. Once again the Passat looked to be on top. I should not have hesitated, the car is amazing. A solid, class act that has excellent steering control. The suspension is a good balance between firmness around corners, but has sufficient give to soak up everyday potholes.

There is plenty of poke in the 170Hp engine and yet it is still turning in 46mpg around town.

If you are looking for a car that is reliable, classy, and fun to drive then I would recommend it.
