Reliability improving!
This was my company car for the last three years, an economical, comfortable and easy to drive practical estate. The trouble is that after 80,000 miles when the warranty expired so did the reliability. EGV valve replacement £2,000 no contribution from VW, alternator failure ( no contribution from VW ) oh and you will have to wait three weeks to get looked at as the dealers are all too busy.
However, I still bought this from the firm and run it myself and my local VW dealers Beadles in Dartford are very helpful and look after me well. Its now on 187,000 miles and still going strong!
