Great car ruined by driver assistance trash

It's the right size, is powerful enough, economical and handles well, especially in 4WD Sport mode. But it has one fatal flaw. The latest model is stuffed with the usual driver "assistance" features that no-one asked for, and they drive me absolutely nuts. Bong for every single speed sign and yes, it reads them in side roads and gets the speed limit wrong. Repeating bongs for being 1mph over the speed limit (see previous point about misreading signs). Lane departure that scared the bejeesus out of me on the first drive when it tried to.put me in a ditch. You can turn this stuff off by taking a couple of minutes twiddling a flimsy plastic stalk, which won't last long as it has to.be done BEFORE EVERY TRIP! Unless the dealer can come up with a solution, I think this is going to have to go back under the 14 day money-back guarantee. It really is that bad.
