Suzuki SX4 S-Cross (2013 - 2021)
1.0 Sz-T Boosterjet Auto 5dr
Reliable and VFM motoring
I have now had the car 4 years and 4 months and it's been a pleasure to own. By now i'd anticipated doing around 35000 miles, but Covid and home working reduced that to 22,000. I've recently retired too, and aim to keep the car for the foreseeable now.
I took out a fixed price service plan for 3 years and can't fault the servicing from the dealer. Minor issues have been dealt with at no extra cost, such as software updates for the infotainment system and any queries from me have been sensibly answered.
I like the fact that the dealership is on an industrial estate and the showroom isn't sw***y. The whole setup is very friendly and customer focused, and after a visit I also get emailed a satisfaction survey from Suzuki.
As for the car itself, it's been very reliable and a pleasure to drive. The only issue I have had is recent, a rear passenger door not locking/unlocking via the remote fob and then failing altogether. That got fixed by the dealer the next day after reporting it- a faulty acctuator in the door costing me £99 and a half hours labour charge.
The car offers alot of bang for your buck in terms of specification, is a comfortable drive and has averaged 43 mpg on a mix of urban/rural/motorway driving over 4 years.
In summary, I have no reason to regret purchasing the car and being so reliable see no reason to change it. I reckon it will probably see me out formy remaining years of driving.
