BRILLIANT CAR, LOVE IT.

Looking to replace my aging 2.0ltr Mondeo at £300 per yr Road Tax, and 30 mpg. Wanted cam-chain engine, good reliability record, Co2 below 120g/km and pre April 2017 to qualify for £30.annual Road Tax. Did loads of research via BRILLIANT Honest John website. Short listed 1.2 ltr Skoda Rapid / Rapid Spaceback + 1 ltr Suzuki S-Cross, which best matched my requirements. Test drove Skoda Rapid 1.2, 4-cylinder, very nice. Never previously had a 1 ltr 3 cylinder engine, so a bit wary of the Suzuki S-Cross, so had a test drive, and LOVED it. Mind made up I purchased an S-Cross, 3 cylinder, 1 ltr, SZ-T model from Suzuki Main Dealer. 5 speed box, 109 bhp, 113Co2g/km, £30 annual road tax. Good driving position, great visibility, easy to drive, nippy acceleration for engine size, nice gear change and brakes, EXCELLENT value for money 2nd-hand. Achieve 48 - 52 mpg (don't thrash it). Paintwork has a reputation of not being the most robust. Some hard plastics don't bother me. Has good reliability reputation, and 4 months in it hasn't put a foot wrong. Not high insurance category. I'll maintain a proper service history, and hope/expect it to last years. I LOVE it, and consider it a GREAT purchase. Would definitely buy another one. Now owned 11 mnths / 9K mls. Just has major service / MOT, no problems. LOVE the car, hasn't put a foot wrong to date.
