Competent small load carrier
Bought as a runabout over five years ago it has still, on occasion, been required to do a journey of 300 miles. It is exactly what I thought I was buying - a cheap, utilitarian car that would carry heavy loads of books and passengers in tolerable comfort. Driving position is excellent even on long trips, gearbox could be nicer, engine needs to be worked hard (but what do you expect of a non-turbo 996cc) and level of dealer service poor but I now use an independent. No problems (touch wood) at 5.5 years old and the original tyres still good at 35 000 plus on mainly major roads. Economy 50+ mpg which, considering the way it is driven, is excellent. 60+ mpg can be achieved.
I'd buy another Suzuki except for the dealer!
