Subaru XV (2012 - 2018)
2.0i SE Lineartronic 5dr Auto Hatchback
Here's hoping it gets better
Bought an ex-demo XV lineartronic to replace a Volvo XC70 D5 geartronic that had gone everywhere in the bad winters since 2008 ....without any problems. Hoping this will do the same as we live on a hill. So far so good but it is the summer now. With good ground clearance it won't matter if it rains or snows from now on. After 6 tank fulls it averages 38 mpg so only saving the cost difference between petrol & diesel. Lineartronoc taking a while to get used to as it sometimes feels like the car has it's own mind to keep going when lifting off the accelerator. Gear paddles for manual shifting, still a novelty so hardly used. Smaller car & so smaller size load area is what we wanted so no issues with that. There is more rear leg room though. Bought a space saver wheel instead of silly sealant can. Have yet to see another XV on the road! Did look at Quashqi, RAV & IX35 but all more expensive when in 4wd for the same age / mileage.
