Practical and reliable

The approach to my house is very steep and narrow and involves a series of tight bends that confound front wheel drives cars as one wheel unloads and traction is lost. I have driven numerous vehicles up this road and nothing is as easy as the XV. Its a good size too, with good rear head and leg room and a decent boot. easy to park in the city but spacious enough for long drives. Distance is one area that it does not excel as the handling is a little nervous for a relaxing cruise, but its not bad and considering its real ability on the steep, rutted, stony tracks it is an acceptable cruiser. It is lacking in power though and once loaded up it does struggle. It has been completely reliable, I have only had to replace the rear wheeI brearings and the spiral switch in the steering column as the horn stopped working. A great car if you need some real off road ability and don`t want to drive around in a massive SUV.
