Perfect

I have finally after numerous car changes, found the one. I wanted a high driving position but not a lumpy jeep. I needed petrol cos my mileage is now less than 8k per year. I need room for golf clubs, carts etc. I need a large clear windscreen and good visibility. Living in Scotland so I wanted 4wd or awd. I wanted a hatch with fold down rear seats. I wanted reasonable comfort but not armchair lounge type. I like to be a bit different.
The Subaru XV meets all the above. Also the parking rear camera is a great boon, I had the corners sc***ed off my E-class and also off my Lexus IS which I could hardly see out of at the best of times. Now I can get into Fiesta space with ease, I just did!. Bluetooth for the phone, detailed fuel consumption data on several screens, the car is limpet like round corners, smooth and quiet on the straight. And they will look after your winter tyres for you. The dealers are really committed people!
OK it is a little more expensive than the standard tin can like crossovers, but it is made in Japan by Japanese car makers as opposed to eastern Europe by redundant coal miners. And the materials are first class so pay up and enjoy. Cheapo is never the best.
