Peugeot 308 (2014 - 2021)
2 litre 150hp Allure Automatic
Never again
Well just traded in my 2015 Peugeot 308 Allure 2l Diesel Auto (bought when it was about 2years old) and never been as glad to see the back of a car in all my many years of motoring. It’s cost me an arm and a leg. The car was serviced regularly but still had problems that I’ve never encountered with any other of the dozen or so motors I’ve had in the past. For example, a fuel line leakage, front anti-roll bar connecting links needed replaced, new motors for both front windows," engine fault: repair needed” appearing every time the car started (told to get a new battery but this did not help), Start/Stop fitful, it eventually gave up entirely but quite happy about that, DPF blocked, fuel rail pressure sensor replacement, paintwork flaking although car was cleaned and polished by hand regularly, worn piston rings. I could go on. And the advertised MPG was a joke - motorway driving at 60-70 gave at very best low 40’s MPG and around town it was great to get 30 MPG. Needless to say, I have not bought another Peugeot.
