Peugeot 308 (2014 - 2021)
1.2 Puretech 130 GT Line EAT6 Start+Stop 5dr Hatchback
Pretty good warm hatch
Pleased with EAT6 gearbox, pretty smooth, in my view far better than a dual clutch system.
Quite sedate in normal mode, press the sport button and a totally different car.
Fairly soft suspension but very comfortable although 18 inch alloys do affect the ride quality.
1.2 engine is impressive although you will do well to hit 45 mpg, more like around 40 mpg. This may change for the better as the car loosens up. Cruises at 70 mph at around 2,000 RPM.
Only downside for me is the sat nav, not very user friendly and not a patch on my previous Renault's Tom Tom system.
No problem with the small steering wheel, go into a standard car and it feels like you are driving a boat!
Not that much feel through the steering though.
Boot size is good for the size of car, don't carry many rear passengers so rear space not a problem.
All in all, so far very pleased.
