Great car. Preferred to my previous petrol S and E Class.
The E350d SE is easily the nicest MB I’ve owned. It’s very comfortable riding on air suspension and the smaller wheels with comfortable tyres vs the silly low profile run flats they now fit on the E400 night edition. The engine is special. It’s very fast and very smooth. I drive about 7k miles a year mainly on country roads or around town. Over the last 22k miles it’s averaged 36.2 mpg. On the motorway it does about 50 mpg on a longer run. I usually drive it in comfort mode but in the Sports+ mode it’s a totally different car. I’d buy a replacement but MB have lost the plot. They now believe we all want black seats and headliners and low profile run flats if we also want sunroofs, auto cruise and higher end sound systems.
