Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate (2014 - 2021)
C200 2.0 Sport Auto 5dr Estate
Car returned... Style over substance - avoid!
Looks nice and cabin feels luxurious, but definitely a decline in quality when compared with previous model (s204).
Number of issues with the car, including faulty passenger airbag sensor, infotainment screen freezing/skipping, window replacement (excessive road noise), electrical humming on acceleration, excessive water entering engine bay (particularly around battery/electrical components), vibrations not rectified by wheel balance and tyre adjustments, jerky automatic gearbox, rattling and squeaks not expected for a “premium” vehicle.
Returned and refund obtained after several months of ownership due to dealer being unable to rectify key problems, not least the airbag sensor which would not recognise whether a passenger was in the seat and therefore would not turn on! Wondering if this is an isolated issue or whether in fact there should be a safety recall by Mercedes.
Internally the car feels a lot smaller and cramped than the previous (despite bigger dimensions), could not fit as much in the boot or find a decent driving position with child seat behind chair.
