Premium in every way

Replaced a BMW318d GT with this car recently. After a month and just over 1000 miles of mixed driving I am beginning to wonder why it took me so long to convert to MB. Quiet, refined and very comfortable this car does everything you would expect a Mercedes to do. Whilst it doesn't handle and steer as well as the BMW it is more powerful, just as economical (52.3mpg) and cheap to run....£30/year road tax. The boot is a decent size and shape, with a bit of juggling we have managed to get 2 complete sets of golf clubs and trolleys in whilst retaining 5 seats for passengers. The interior quality surpasses the BMW by some distance albeit the infotainment system is, as reported elsewhere, not as intuitive as BMW's I-drive. The basic satnav is decent without being spectacular. Given that MB were also offering two free services with the car it's difficult to find anything not to like. An easy car to drive and to live with.....
