Excellent Wagon

Always have been and always will be a Mercedes-Benz fan.
Bought this car second hand at around 15.000 miles (2 owners, FSH). And this car has completly exceeded my expectations. It’s extremely comfortable for the long journeys which is useful as I did around 45.000 miles a year in my C220 diesel as part of a fleet of taxis in my family run taxi business.
I have to say, a very nice drive, not as sporty as the BMWs I have owned but slightly more comfy.

The C220 achieved around 50 miles-per-gallon most of the time which is good enough for me

Only downside was the foot operatied parking break which i am not a fan of.

I kept the car many years - sold at 190.000 miles. In which time the car was bulletproof reliable - as with any German vehicle I have owned.
All that was replaced was the crankshaft pulley at 175.000 miles and the SRS System showed a fault at MOT time which my Mercedes-Benz Specialist sorted at a low cost. Other than that just general servicing and wear and tear (tyres, fluids etc).

The C-class estate is very practical with a nice sized boot (bigger than the 3-series Tourer that I owned).

So, I would recommend this car to a friend who wants a comfy, good looking, reliable, economical, practical wagon.
However, given the choice of only one - this or my e91 320d which would it be you may ask?

Both were bullet proof reliable, extremely comfortable, well built and were good on fuel.
But if I could only have one, its shock i am saying this as I prefer Mercedes-Benz, I would take the 3 Series Tourer.

But that should not take anything away from the C-Class as you cannot go wrong with either and the Mercedes-Benz is still an excellent car. I would buy another in a heart beat.
