Mercedes-Benz C-Class (2007 - 2014)
C250 Sportplus Estate
Continuos improvement continues
I had a C220 saloon for nearly 5 years and rather liked it for both local and longer driving (up to 350 miles). It was a comfortable and reliable vehicle that never seemed to show any sign of the 65,000 miles I had driven in it. Overall economy satisfied me - 35 mpg locally and up to 48 mpg on a longer trip. The trip computer said 40.3 miles from when I bought the car.
Having been given a reasonable price by the main dealer for this vehicle, I bought the discounted C250 estate in January 2014. Over 2300 miles I have been impressed by the many small improvements introduced at the mid-life refreshment. Seats are even more supportive and the economy is enhanced - I am getting 40mpg locally and 52 mpg on longer trips.
The car is great to drive with nicely weighted steering and quiet at motorway speeds.
My only area of concern is the rather poor suspension compliance on poor road surfaces and I put that down to the sport suspension and silly 18" alloys and low profile tyres.
