serious intermittent electrical fault
Purchased in Nov 2017 8 months old with 3,000 miles to replace my wife's 2015 B180 owned without fault for 2 years. Within a week all the lights on the dash came on and off, as did the fuel gauge, the sat nav screen. The indicators were not operating and multiple faults came up on the display. The local Mercedes garage had it in 3 times without fixing it (did not provide a loan car). The last time the service manager told me to take it to another Dealer 20 miles away as they did not have the time or know how to fix it. It was recovered to the other dealership and after 10 days returned having had a software upgrade (it was returned with an empty tank, 200 more miles and a scuffed front wheel). That lasted a few months and now the same multiple electrical fault has returned. I videod the fault and sent it to the dealership. The car has now done 4800 miles. I requested a similar size automatic loan car, they offered a large estate car which my wife would not want to drive, so no loan car again. I have been phoning daily, but they have been using the car to get the fault to re appear, so no idea when or if the car will be fixed. I have had more than a dozen new Mercedes over the past 30 years. It is time to switch to a more reliable and helpful marque
