Best Car I have Owned
Put over 100,000 miles on my Mk 2.5 focus and owned it for 7 years until summer 2021 when it had 155,000 miles on the clock. What a loyal companion it has been. Great fun to drive, spacious interior and economical. Average mpg was about 51/52 mpg.
Yes a comparable Golf is more refined, but the low running costs of the Focus, fun and sporty handling and all round reliability make it a great car.
In terms of running repairs, apart from regular servicing, I replaced the EGR valve at about 130000 miles. The original turbo and clutch were still in place when I sold it
In summary, a great car.
