Ford Fiesta (2017 - 2023)
1.0T 125ps St-Line EcoBoost 5dr Hatchback
Great car but not free of issues
I have 1.0 ford fiesta st line 125 about 1,5 year and 8000 km.The car,in general, is great with many advantages like beautiful design, great handling, strong brakes, powerful engine, for 1.0l, Good petrol consumption, about 6,5 liters for 100 km. But also i have to report some things that concern me. First of all five days after my purchase while i was ready to leave, the engine didn't respond at start engine button.at the same time all the lights were on and and i couldn't close them and the steering wheel was working!!! without the engine running etc,so all the electronics got crazy. I called the AA and after taking the car to the dealer i was informed that battery was off! 5 days car! They changed it under warranty and i took my car back with no other issues until last week when i tried to get in the car with my remote key but nothing happened, the car didn't respond at all.i tried the second key,the same. I was in a hurry to get to my job so i took my wife's car ,ford fiesta mk6!, And i left. The other day when i returned from my job i used the hidden key inside the remote control and i opened the car manually. All lights on the dash were on,the same with the central screen with ford logo, i pressed the start button and... voilà!! The engine started!! Everything was normal. I don't know what had happened the day before and the car didn't respond to the remote keys. After that i looked it up and i found that its a common situation for ford fiesta mk8, but ford hasn't done anything about it. I think it needs a software update and ford has to look after it! FORD DO YOU HEAR!!!
