Ford C-MAX (2010 - 2019)
1.5 TDCi 120ps Titanium X Start+Stop 5dr
Underrated and overlooked
I think this car may be underrated and therefore overlooked. It drives great; as good as any BMW or Audi I've driven. In fact, better. Build quality is great. It's built at Ford's factory in Germany. The 1.5 Diesel engine is superbly refined and quiet, and I average 56mpg with mixed town/motorway driving. The gear change is smooth. It's EURO6 (ULEZ) compliant, and emissions are just 105g/km. car tax is still only £20 per year. The boot is big (432 litres) and converts to a massive 1684 litres with the seats down. Seat can also be removed to make it into a van for tip runs. Yet it's easy to park being only 4379mm long. Seats are comfy on long journeys. Servicing and parts are cheap. My particular can is the Titanium X with family pack, winter pack and convenience pack, which includes such things as electric tailgate and heated seats and steering wheel. Sat nav is great, with additional voice control. Headlights are bi-xenon and turn as you're cornering. To cap it all, in What Car's 2020 reliability survey, it was the top MPV with a score of 100%! You can't get better than that.
