Fiat 500 (2008 on)
1.2 Sport 3dr Hatchback
Fab funky but bumpy ride!
Certainly looks the part, interior is so funky and looks really good, exterior is cute and cheeky. Nippy to drive around town especially using the city button and easy to park. I have owned my car for 3 years and never had any problems, until on holiday in Cornwall, the Thermostat Housing Unit hose cracked and leaked the coolant out which resulted in a smoking engine. Luckily I caught it in time but after reading other reviews it seems this may be a weak part on the Fiat 500, something to bear in mind if you own one, keep checking the coolant level! The door handles do come off easily, I've had one repaired and the other is a bit wobbly. The main downside is the suspension, even my passengers comment how bumpy the ride is! I am having new shockers fitted this week so hopefully that will make a slight difference. All in all I love the Fiat 500 but am tempted to trade in for the new Ford KA, I would have to test drive first as I'm not sure how they drive? I may have to sport it up a little as well otherwise it's just another run of the mill car from the outside. But there again, when I see that cheeky little face as I walk towards it ... I may not be able to part with her.
