Citroen Grand C4 Picasso (2014 - 2018)
2.0 BlueHDi 150 Exclusive+ 5dr Medium MPV
Abysmal build quality
Good points :
It looks great (for an mpv)
The interior is really nicely designed and very spacious.
Massive standard spec on the exclusive plus model.
Drives really nice (for an mpv)
Bad points :
The car has now done 39000 miles, it needs front suspension as it bobs up and down like a boat.
It has a lot of various knocking noises, it went into citreon to be checked who said it was probably some bushes that are on the radiator mounting bracket. They cost £20 for the part, but £300 fitted, I was advised to just put up with the noise as it wasn't unsafe. This started at less than 30000 miles.
It now needs a new alternator, this is at a cost of £1200 plus fitting. The car has full citreon service history, is in immaculate condition and is driven with mechanical sympathy. How on earth does a 5 year old car with such low mileage have so many part failures??
In 20 odd years of driving I've never had so many problems with a car, time to go back to something Japanese that is engineered to last.
Do not buy one of these cars unless you just want to park it up and look at it (I think this may be the only way to stop it breaking)
