Cheap and reliable motoring so far
I think, if you are going to buy an older BMW it is worth having a little knowledge as there have been niggles bit nothing that I've had to take the car to a dealer for.
I bought at 109000 miles and I'm glad I bought newer with high miles than older with low.
I've had to replace one ignition coil due to a misfire being reported by OBD.
Also a Vanos solenoid.
That's pretty much all the surprises and in total those 2 items cost less than £100.
Worth doing your research before buying but this has worked out well so far.
