Vauxhall Vectra - Rear Suspension - hourglass

Hi, I'm 5'3", slim and I like wearing short skirts.

Right, now that I've got your attention:

After a trip to Switzerland, heavily laden in my 1996 Vauxhall Vectra, when I turn right, the left rear tyre rubs noisily on the wheel arch. This is worse of course, when the car is carrying a load. The rubbing/noise doesn't happen when I turn left (ie the right wheel doesn't rub on the wheel arch).

I have noticed that when the car is at rest, it sits quite low and there is not much clearance between the tyre and the wheel arch on the left rear. I've pushed strongly on the bumper at the left rear, and the car bounces down, up once and then settles.

Any suggestions about what the cause of this rubbing problem will be gratefully received. Thanks

Hourglass.

Hello Hourglass I am 6 feet 1 like to wear shorts :) It looks like a suspension problem, just on the left rear side.I would take the car for a check up just to be safe. You might need the shock absorbers to be replaced.
