1998 ford windstar - ab brakes - kalloplaw

After discovering a loose refluctor ring on my left front wheel, the dealer shop wants to replace the ring with a new one for $120. He said it would be best to replace the half shaft with a new one that comes with a new refluctor ring already installed because it is easier to do and the warranty would be better in case of an accident. That would cost somewhere around $200. This is all a lot of money just to get my ABS light and Traction control light to stop flashing. This auto is never driven on ice or snow and I have never even had the ABS come on in all the time I've had the car. My question is, does anyone know of a way to 'glue' the refuctor ring to the drive shaft without replaceing the shaft?? The auto is in excellent condition and runs and looks like a new one and the brake system is all new.
