Audi A4 brake warning message - pug_leeds

When its been standing overnight or for several hours during the day my 4 month old A4 Tdi will flash the re brake warning (accompanied by 3 loud beeps) when started. The brake fluid level is fine and the brake fluid level sensor has been replaced to no effect. Theres no warning if the car has been driven recently, it only seems to be from cold. The brakes work fine, by the way.

Does anyone know if the dealer should be able to get a specific fault code off the computer that would explain the warning?

I think that a diagnostic check by the dealer should say what triggered the warning. My A6 suffered intermittent ABS failure warnings that went away after restarting the car, and that showed up in the diagnostic - and the problem went away by itself.

Might be a dodgy earth or wire on the sensor as my prob showed up in the damp
