Been having major problems with our Punto over the past month or so (get in car - turn ignition - nothing happens) - had 3 visits from AA to get it started , and various trips to the dealers who informed me that there was nothing wrong with it.
However , it now transpires that there is a water leak somewhere which is causing all the problems. The dealers have quoted me £1,000 MINIMUM labour costs and £300 MINIMUM costs for replacement parts etc to find where the water is getting in (they reckon they have to strip various parts of the engine and body etc)
Question is , is it worth paying out for this ? I reckon the car is worth about £2500....and I've already paid for a new ECU and exhaust in the past 6 months or so.
Would I be better to just sell the heap of junk for scrap ???!
