New Volkswagen Passat - should i take it?

I am due to take delivery of a new Passat TDI 190. Given the emissions scandal surrounding Volkswagen is it wise to take delivery? I appreciate that this may have been asked before.

As far as I know, no. Your car has the new EA288 engine which uses a combination of SCR urea injection and a dual loop EGR to meet EU6 and USA Tier 2 emissions regs. It was the earlier EA189 engine that used the 'cheat' software.
