How do I fix a faulty petrol gauge?
I have a 2019 Honda Jazz 1.3 from new with 25,800 miles. After filling up with petrol a month ago my gauge said I had 470 miles but it stayed there for a few day before going down to 469 where it has stayed even when filled up again. I've been told by the garage that I will have to have the tank removed? Surely that can't be true.

Assuming the petrol tank gauge is also showing incorrect information as well as the remaining range display, it is possible that the fuel level sensor is faulty and giving an incorrect reading. It may be possible that the sensor can be accessed without removing the tank, but if you are not satisfied with the guidance that the garage has provided we would suggest getting a second opinion from an independent Honda specialist.
