Pass the BMW

My BMW 530d was purchased from Ford dealer earlier this year for £10,000.

On collection of the car it was noted the incorrect tyres (non run-flats)were fitted to the front of the car, at this stage it was agreed with the sales man that Macklin would supply a spare wheel. In due course this was ordered from my local BMW garage. However I nor the Ford dealer realised that to make the wheel fit in the car an extra panel was required, Macklin refused to pay for this.

A few days after taking delivery I found several faults with the car:

The air conditioning didn't work
The rear wiper didn't work

I informed the Ford dealer of these issues, they told me to take the car to my local BMW garage and get them directly.

On the first visit to BMW the above issues were reportedly resolved. However the wiper still didn't work. I reported this the Rybrook and Macklin straight away. In addition to this I also discovered that.

The parking sensors were faulty
The light to the boot area and auxiliary tail gait light didn't work

Ford then asked me to take the car to their Ford dealership an hour from me. I duly obliged taking best part of a day to deliver and collect the car.

Unfortunately none of the issues could be addressed. Therefore the car was returned to BMW.

The current state of play: Ford refuse to pay part of BMW's bill as they believe it to be fraudulent, BMW will not release my car until the bill has been paid. In addition to this Ford refuse to address the the issues of the parking sensors and boot lights.

The parking sensors and boot light are relatively trivial issues on a car bought for around a quarter of its original price. To get the car back you have to pay the BMW dealer then attempt to sue the supplying dealer, but I don't think you have a very good case.
