  • Focus (old model) - best buy ? 28 Apr 2005 (Forum)
Might buy Mrs Bob an old model (brand new) Focus as I've heard there's lots around that Ford needs to shift going cheap, cheap, cheap. Anyone point me in the right direction and what's the best engine for a bit of punch and fuel consumption ? Thanks in advance. Bob.

  • New Focus Dash 27 Jul 2004 (Forum)
Flicking through Autoexpress last night whilst in the supermarket I noticed a feature and supposed picture of the new Focus dash. It must have taken a lot of imagination by Ford to decide to 'borrow' the instrument cluster from Audi - same layout, same Aluminium trim, same computer readout block
  • Mondeo TDCi - How Much? 6 Jul 2004 (Forum)
Found a nice July 2002 Mondeo TDCi 130 in Stardust Silver with 29k on the clock. Its nice and tidy, has 1 private owner and has full Ford history. Its up for £9995 at a large independant dealer. Is it worth that? I can't find any TDCi's cheaper and those that are turn out to be old TDdi's.

  • Scratch repairs 13 Dec 2003 (Forum)
An attack by vandals has left deep scratches in the roof of my year-old metallic grey Ford. My dealer is talking re-spray, but I've seen adverts for firms which paint only the scratches. Many of these companies apparently work out of the back of a van. Has anyone used one of these firms? Can
  • Cam Belt changes 7 Apr 2003 (Forum)
Taking my 1.8 petrol Escort to have it's cambelt changed at the Ford main agent, they've told me i'll need to drop it off this evening instead of tomorrow morning as it has to stand for a few hours first. Is this true? If so why? I'm guessing that they'll push the car onto the ramps in the morning
  • Fitting Mondeo Indicator Unit 17 Mar 2003 (Forum)
Hello, The indicator unit on my Ford Mondeo 2.5 Ghia X (R reg) has just gone up in smoke. Can anyone tell me if i need to remove the steering wheel to replace it, or just the plastic surround. Obviously the car has an air bag, hence i would rather not have to remove it.
  • LPG Conversions 7 Apr 2002 (Forum)
Dear All, Has anyone had any "bad experiences" after having an LPG conversion. I'm thinking of having my car "done" (Ford Escort). I've heard of the valve seat recession problem with Zetec engines, but, what about poorer running, over-heating etc. etc. Any views, opinions graetly appreciated
