  My friend has fiesta whose brake light switch is not activated with the brakes off so it needs adjusting. Some advice says twist it 90 degrees then move it but I'm worried about breaking it as it won't easly move. Is that how it's done?

  Driving very very slowly over sheet ice I instinctively touched the brake pedal when descending a small hill. Of course the wheels locked and I slid sideways on. Would the same thing have happened with anti lock brakes? The speed was around six to seven miles an hour. Is the technology that good?

  having some problems with a bmw 2.8i 1996 coupe the abs is kicking in under normal braking although no abs warning light is on or coming on even when braking anyone any ideas?

  I have a vw golf mark 4 v6 and have recently had the brale pads replace. i get a squeacking from the brakes after about 1/2 an hour of driving. the garage says it's the dust form the brake pads i'm unsure? does any one have the same problem?

  Hi. I had the front calipers and pads changed 3k ago, and previously 8k ago the front shocks done. Recently the steering has begun pulling to the right under moderate braking. Had brakes checked on rolling road and are ok with 4% difference. Any clues as to where problem may lie? Thanks very much.

  Hello any ideas?? when i press the brake pedal, i can nearly push it to the floor, they feel very spongy i've checked the fluid and there is no loss the pads are ok the discs are also ok would bleeding the brakes cure this? or as ive heard the master cylinders are known for going on golfs

  What causes brakes to squeak? My Focus (7k miles) has slightly squeaky brakes and I\'d be keen to get rid of it before it gets worse. The front discs seem to have a little bit of rust on them but certainly no worse than my old Polo did and they never squeaked! What are the major causes? Thanks

  An electrical fault on my 740 is annoying me. These cars have a bulb failure warning light which is quite useful in normal circumstances. However, when I apply the brakes the light comes on but does not extinguish when the brakes are released. After around 5 minutes of no braking the light goes out

  Talking of inconsiderate drivers, one of the things that bugs me, especially at night, are those drivers who when stopped at traffic lights etc, put their foot on the brake pedal and leave it there. With 3 bright brake lights shining in your face, Im inclined (but don't) to slap the main beam
