  I've got a 51 plate 1.2 8v petrol punto with 50k on the clock. The power steering light appeared while driving so I swapped the power steering motor with one from a scrap yard and fully charged the battery (which is around 2 years old). I then drove the car 4 or 5 times and it was working fine
