I've got a 51 plate 1.2 8v petrol punto with 50k on the clock. The power steering light appeared while driving so I swapped the power steering motor with one from a scrap yard and fully charged the battery (which is around 2 years old). I then drove the car 4 or 5 times and it was working fine.

When I turned the key this morning the light is back on and the steering is heavy. Any ideas what else I can try?? The battery is a Yuasa and is only 2 years old so I don;t think that's faulty. I've checked all the fuses that are mentioned in the Haynes PAS wiring diagram and they seem fine too. I've got an OBDII connector but can't find the socket to read the codes, any ideas??
