  • Manual cars worth less than auto secondhand 16 Jun 2024 (Forum)
Interesting read that informs that: "Residual values of used cars with manual transmission are in decline, with some models worth as much as 21% less than their automatic equivalents and fewer manual cars for sale in 2024 than ever before" I suppose it's inevitable as people buy
  • Ford Mondeo 2014 Powershift - Sc*** or Invest 14 Dec 2023 (Forum)
automatic gearbox specialist who quoted 2800 as a minimum to rebuild the gearbox - and other damage found could add to that quote. Given the 'webuyanycar' price is less than 3k, anyway, is it best to reluctantly sc*** and move on? Many thanks!

  • Any - Tell DVLA you've sold a vehicle 21 Nov 2017 (Forum)
://www.gov.uk/sold-bought-vehicle It says "You can’t use this service if you’ve already sent your log book (V5C) by post." so I assume you shouldn't post in the section at all if you use the website. Does this automatically trigger a refund of the unused part

Thanks for taking a moment to help out! We're in the market for a Zafira (2007-09) as both my wife and I only drive Automatic. However, I hear the 1.9 diesel can cause issues...but then again, we don't really need a 2.2 litlre that you get with the petrol. It's interesting

  • Mondeo - Auto vs manual mondeo 30 Jul 2014 (Forum)
the engines as such as I'm looking for the diesel version but I am very concerned about clutch/DMF failure and so I was wondering if an automatic Mondeo diesel would be the way to go as I've heard that they don't have a dual mass flywheel.  Any advice would be welcome.
  • Building site plant 8 Jan 2014 (Forum)
was scary...I hate automatics at the best of times but without even a brake pedal to stomp on as a last resort, was something else entirely! Of all the machines to design in this way, an off-road based one that needs good slow speed control would not be my first choice!  Good fun to hurl
