I need to change the rear brake pads on my bro-in-law's C-Max but he was advised that ABS/ECU needs to be 'told' that new pads have been fitted. Have worked on most systems but I don't have data for the C-Max especially as it has electric handbrake. I thought that systems where a computer has -

Hi - My mini which has been serviced by main dealer from new has developed a 'grinding noise' when the brakes are applied. A service is due in 200 miles [mileage 54,000]. While the noise sounds like 'metal on metal' appearing that the pads may have worn out, the discs look ok, and there have been -
Last car to have drum brakes all round in the UK ? 25 Sep 2007 (Forum)
Having a discussion here about drum brakes; does anyone know when the last car that was marketed in the UK and had drums all round was available and what that car was ? I am assuming that if Trabants have disks all round that it wasn't marketed here and so wouldn't count. It is either going -

Mondeo ABS 4 Mar 2003 (Forum)
My '97 Mondeo estate (80,000 miles) has taken to veering mildly to the left on braking. This turns out to be a failure of the Fr RHS brake to operate properly, and it seems that the difference between the 2 front brake would lead to an MoT failure. After checking out the system, it seems -
